"If you judge people, you have no time to love them." - Mother Teresa

I chose this quote because I think that it applies to everyone. If you discriminate against another race or culture you feel no love towards them. Also if you judge someone, generally it is a negative connotation. If you think lowly of someone then you don't feel any emotion towards them other than anger, disappointment and frustration. I also chose this quote because of the person who said it. Mother Teresa, born as Gonxha Agnes, grew up with a religious background because of her mother. She went through extreme measures to teach people about god, even going to extreme lengths like living in extreme poverty. Mother Teresa loved everyone and didn't make an assumption about someone no matter what their age, nationality, sex and position in the social structure.

This is a picture of Mother Teresa feeding a child. This photo shows how much Mother Teresa cared about other people enough to care about them. This shows that there are people in the world that will go to extreme measures to help other people.

Poverty can be Wiped Out

After watching an interview with Jeffery Sachs and hearing that what his opinion was on poverty and solutions for it I know believe that poverty can be gotten ride of. One organization that can help is World Bank. World Bank is an organization that lends out money to people for a good reason with no interest. The World Bank collected data from 73 countries and asked what they thought what poverty was. Its important to collect data from 73 countries because then you get a wide variety of answers. Poverty is not having enough money for basic human needs. The difference between poverty and extreme poverty is that extreme poverty you also feel extremely powerless. The poverty trap is when you feel as if you can't get out of poverty. The World Bank defines poverty as 'not having enough income to meet the most basic human needs for
r adequate food, water, shelter, clothing, sanitation, health care or education.' From www.thelifeyoucansave.com/topic.html. As of 2008 1.4 billion people are living under the poverty line. The numbers are improving because in 1981 there were 1.9 billion people living in poverty.
